Jap only to a Pal DC

Hi could anyone tell me if its possible to convert a Jap only CDI image to run on a UK pal machine, I have Pia Carrot that I downloaded but after the intro screen it freezes, this has only happened on a ntsc game before which after patching booted ok but I cant find any Jap Pal to uk Pal patches, can anybody help?
