Suggestions for DVD (movie) backup software?
I've been trying to backup 2 expensive video DVD's (6.8 GB each) that I bought 2 months ago and I haven't been successful with DVD Shrink or some of the limited trial software out there for WinXP. Yes I'm a newbie to DVD backups but I've been trying to find something that is fairly flexible, yet easy to use, and works. I'm willing to buy some decent software but I would like to know that it's going to work well and do what I need it to do BEFORE I purchase it. Therefore I'm looking for suggestions from the members of this forum.
The 2 DVD's I'm trying to copy are not CSS protected but I would like to learn how to backup protected DVD's as well. DVD Shrink would not shrink them enough to fit on a DVD-RW disc. Is it possible to backup a movie DVD to a DVD-RW disc and have it readible by my TV's 2 year old Toshiba DVD player? Or do I need to burn to some other type of recordable DVD? Thank you in advance, John, [email protected]
