sorry david...but i think this is the only alterntaives me and quall can come up with. i had the same proble with fable..8 out 10 times i saw that dreaded dirty disc error on my screen...but once i insalled the game to my hdd..the problem was solved. for the most part i already that my dvd- rom drive was going cause it was happening more and more frequently now(sucky ass thompson) so either get a samsung drive or hdd upgrade
