Battle For Middle-Earth CTDs

After installing, i copy the game.dat (no cd crack from hoodlum) to the game folder and then load the image file LOTRBFME.mdf using Daemon tools 3.47.

It prompt for the Missing CD and I press "cancel". The splash screen appear after which the screen turn black and CTD. No error message were given!
