VF3 patch out, but can't apply :-(

I have the original game and a PAL DC. Has the games hasn't he 50hz/60hz switch, I downloaded the Kalisto release backup *only* to apply that damned patch (I really love that game, as much as I hate 50hz games). But things went wrong: the patch doesn't "fit" the image size. If I apply it as well the image gets corrupted (it's not even recognized by DJ). For which release was that patch made for? Is there a way to apply it to Kalisto one?
