Computer Restarts frequently

Hi Friends,

I am having a problem with my computer being restarted very frequently. I am running windows 2000 in that.Everytime i start my computer for the first times it works fine for the first 30 minutes. Then later it gets resatrted within every 10 mins. I did not have a problem like this. But recently i have plunged in a Cd writer "but which is a new one". I have noticed that after i have installed the Cd writer this happens. Can anyone tell me what shall be the problem. Can it be because of the new Cd writer which i have installed or can it be any other problem.Any help would be appreciated.

Thanxs in advance..
