App. to recover a damaged CD?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it. Decided to dig out an old classic, Mechcommander 2, only to find out my friend damaged the CD when I lent it to him. So, I soaked it in hot, soapy water overnight, and I can now at least get a splash screen and up to 6% on the install.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good program that may be able to recover the data? I have CDMage, so if I could just pull an image I MAY be able to salvage it and burn it to a backup CD. (And people wonder why I backup my CDs...I wonder why I loan them to friends when I am finished with the games. )

I tried CloneCD, but it can't read it...does not get past 0%. I'm not looking for anything I have to buy, really, as Mechcommander 2 is not exactly worth it, but the disk is SO close to being readable, I was hoping some application out there might be able to extract an image I could repair.

Any ideas? Or is this just wishful thinking?

Thanks in advance...
-Nate
