Questions from newbie, please look and help

I have some psx2 copy questions

1. are all psx2 titles on dvd's?
2. can you read using a dvd reader, then patch the bin. file then burn it back using a cdr burner or do you have to use a dvd burner?

3. Is it poss to read using a dvd drive, remove the fmv and then burn back using a cdr drive, if so how?
