PLZ Help with Record of Lodoss War

HI, i just ripped the game off of the gdrom and see that there is no 1st_read.bin file, There are 3 bin files, ip.bin, and 2 other bin files. I #####ed the ip.bin file and found out which bin file is equivalent to 1st_read.bin and hack that file and did the usual routine and burnt it to gdrom. The cd loaded to the sega logo screen and then it would reset. The game wont load beyond sega logo screen. any ideas why? thanks in advance.
