Hey mwitters,
As for an answer to your "why", perhaps: 1. the creation of the no-CD patch for the original release involved too few automized tools and too much manual work and that would have to be done again and again for all updates or 2. there is some new anti-crack stuff in the update. You can't tell, I can't tell; neither of us have tried cracking it. So, instead of grumbling around, please, be patient.  Joe
