I had the same problem but then i installed rambooster and everthing worked fine.
I set the alarm level as high as it would go and the target ram to half of wot i have installed. I have 256mb ram alarm level is set at 63 target level is set at 128 You can download it for free allover the place just do a search and you will find hope that helps?
