Dreamcast 1:1 copying under linux..

I'm having trouble copying audio/data based selfboots,and possibly data/data also I alhough I haven't treied any of them yet.Readcd(cdrtools) gives out a whole lot of errors unless i specify -clone mode...which shouldn't be neccessary for dreamcast games,although I haven't copied a dc cd even under windows in a long time.Cdrecord seems to think this is only a single session cd when it is of course 1 audio session followed by a data session.... -dummy mode give out an error at the end,so I'm not going to bother trying to burn it for real since it won't work.
Cdrdao can only do 1 session at a time which is annoying and it seems to think that the first session has 2 audio tracks rather than one.Should I be using raw mode here and/or read the subchannel data?
Guess I'll have another go but If anyone has already worked this out I'd appreciate the information.
