Games Copying

Hi all,
i have been reading some posts on here and it looks like your all 100 years ahead of the game!

I have the original games of CC Generals and Battlefield Vietnam. And would like to make a copy of the play disks.

We have two PC's in our home and would like to link up and play against one another.

I have Clone CD and have tried to copy both the games. I can install the game from the disk, but when I try to play from it it says open and close the cd drawer and restart the game?

I have browsed the Game Copy world site and followed the odd link, thinking this one would have all the answers; http://gamefix.dxs.to/ it seams to have closed down?

Can any one help and explain in simple terms how to over come this problem? And I mean simple!
