Thanks for such a quick reply.
You certainly know alot more about this stuff than I do as you'll see from my questions. Brush off the laquer..... What is this laquer? Is it some sort of coating on the board at the connection points? Apply a little flux..... What is flux? It's use? Apply small amount of solder turning the tiny hole.... my problem was that the solder wouldn't stick to the surface connection points as there was nothing to grip to. Are the first two steps you mentioned required to correct that problem? Thank you! DRR
