Mod Chip Help

Hey,
I got my brother to install a apple pro in my V4 PS2. When i power up the tv makes the most horrible screaching noises, and then the ps2 goes to the browser and will not recognize any discs. It just says No Data. You guys have any ideas? I'm gonna go over it to see if its the bios chip. What do you guys think?
Another thing. A lot of wires are crossing each other. Its a little messy. Would this create much of a problem like interference?
