Question Help. Burning PS2 Backups, which Speed

Pls someone shed some light on this topic.

I have a PS2 pal v 3 with messiah 2.

I been trying to back up games in the last two days, but with mixed results, most being bad.

I've been using RecordNowMax and Nero 6 on my Pioneer A06, media Ritek G04, two types, the printable white top and Traxdata 4xspeed.

Okay most tutorials say burn image at min speed. So that's what I've been doing, but only managed 2 from 7 games to work flawlessly. The others don't work to well at all in my machine, you know they just spin and come with a disc error, have to load about 5 to 6 times, if I'm lucky.
Yesterday I burnt a game at speed 2x and it work okay, there was a couple of stutters, but it loaded in the PS2.

Okay the obvious is that my laser is bad, but I can play others copies that I have got from other people, no problem, they play like original's. The media, well I thought Ritek is suppose to be the best for PS2 backups, plus as I said I have managed two to work very well.

So it must be my methods, either program or burning speed. Should I be using another program or burn even at 4x speed

Pls someone out there with more knowledge on this subject HELLLLLLPPPPP!!!!!

Cheers in advance

Rox
