khafan => online servers can't c a local ip
SurfDrifter => the online games aren't served on your ps2, they r served by Sony, but r created by u remember too that most of these games utilize dnas authentication so using backed up games wont work anyway also take into account that sony marketed the ps2 & network adaptor as being able to play games online. At no point in their advertising was anything mentioned about a local area network ability. Also read the games manuals, If a game could do it they'd tell u how in the manual. I work in a business that retails ps2 and even in the retailer network adaptor sales kits this wasn't mentioned. Once again, all my own opinion
