Generals v1.7 Problems

I have been trying to get the v1.7 No Cd patch to work for Generals not Zero hour, I thought I finally got it too work, the no cd thing didnt come up but then it said Technical Difficulties and I cant get get it to work!

Oh Ya I tried this:

1. Install C&C Generals.
2. Download and install the official 1.07 patch.
3. Download both the v1.0 fix and also the 1.7 (should be 1.07) fix from gamecopyworld.
4. Use the generals.exe from the v1.0 fix.
5. Use the game.dat file from the v1.7 fix.

It worked then right when I got past the Cd Check it said Technical Difficulties ARGG!!


Plz Help
