need help on magic 3.2 chip

I got magic 3.2(from modchip.ca and put in by bill- newage) & v4 psx2 (new lazor in it). the problem is whan i make a backup copy it works for like two days boots up right away than it does not work. I have to keep on trying for it to work on some games and some times it dose not work at all. I tryed cleaning the disc and use diffirent disc like tdk dvd-r and verbatim i know the games work i play them on my v7 magic v it works perfect. can anyone help thanks.
