Going online with router wirewall

Hey whats up. I got a 4 port Linksys router and a cable connection. I can get XBOX Live to work with no problem, but trying to go online with gamespy won't work. I think it has something to do with the wirewall or whatever set up by the router. I've set the DMZ host to the XBOX, but that didn't work. I tried something w/ forwarding ports, but I don't know much about that.

Has anyone had this problem before and able to help me out??
