Good Soldering Tips :)`

Installation Equipment - from the magic team website

15 watt soldering iron with fine tip

0.10 mm solder tip (this is very small)

30 or 35 awg kynar or similar wire

Thicker stranded wire for 3.3v, 5v and GROUND
22 awg or similar

flux paste to help soldering

De-solder braid

A safety razor blade & Blue Tack to hold the blade in place

toothbrush

Preparation Steps

Before to Solder is very usefull take in count this directions

Clean all the solder points, whit a soft disolver. I use a old toothbrush, wet in disolver.
The solder process is more easy, if you pre-solder the strip portion of the wire, it could be made as follow:
Melt some solder, in the tip of the iron
Dab some flux paste on the end of the wire
Put the end of the wire over the tip of the iron, you'll see the end of the wire more shining
Is very useful too, pre-solder the cooper pads in the board chip as in the ps2 board, it could be made as follow:
Dab some flux paste to the cooper pads on the motherboard using a toothpick or something thin, do not use a metal point.
Approach the solder core and the iron to the pad, to deposit some solder over the pad
Don't leave the iron over the pad more that 1 or 2 second, the excesive heat could damage your board, especially in the PS2

When you finish all the install, clean again whit the toothbrush and disolver, it would remove the excess of flux paste, and some extra solder.

Oh and im looking for a psx modchip version 7502 for the uk any guesses

Cheers Sean

Also Bannanas help keep a steady hand Thanks to tyler for the info
