Got the same Chip in the same model Ps2 I Cannot play Ps2 Backup cd’s or dvd’s, Can play everything else though. I have finally determined it to be a Bad chip. Thanks to all the support I got here (Thanks All) All the Solder connections have been checked and rechecked so I am currently trying to get the chip replaced. Unfortunately do to holidays !!
If you find out it’s something other than a Bad chip Please Post It as I am also interested in the outcome.
