I think the ps2 is a so so dvd cd player. It has its downfalls because its trying to combat piracy and illegal backups of games so they set their lasers very poorly in some cases. Which is why you dont always get a perfectly running game, or a quite one for that matter.
I just use it for gaming myself. I have real standalone dvd players for my movies and real stereos for my music. Tyler!
