Thanks bobfffg for the quick reply, i'll stick to the "winning combination" in the future!
 I don't have a lens-cleaningset yet but i'll give it a try when i buy one. I don't remember any other game having problems but i'll check it again just to be sure. About the mod, I used to have a V4 with a messiah but when i got a V7 and went back to the guy who also installed the messiah he recommended the ripper 2 deluxe. So far it's been great: boots everything and for dvd's it has automatic region-free and removal of the RGB-green. Peace!
