If u've only had them 2 weeks then neither of them should need cleaning unless u'v been throwing handfuls of sand at them.
an if u can backup fine onto 0ther media and yr ps2 plays the backups okay then I can't explain why the ritek didn't work. I would have suggested the back up method but as you've managed to back up on other media.............. Anyone else??? This is the first time that I've heard of ritek not working....Unless they are some wierd non ritek dye ritek media. Unless.....U said that if u burn at 2 speed they work but not at 4 speed.......Is yr DVD Burner set up as a master ide drive or slave......Seems wierd that it can't complete the burn. What system does yr pc use an have you got burner in master or slave port on ide bus?
