Angry Medal of Honor Rising Sun and info

This is driving me nuts, I just tried to backup a copy of Rising Sun and came up with a strange problem. I am using Stomp RecordNow Max and used the backup procedure listed at the beginning of these forums.. everything seemed to run smooth until i checked in the folder where the .gi image is stored and found 3 other .gi files that accompanied the one I originally told RecordNow to make. I attached the actual image of what I see in my windows explorer, take a look at that and tell me whats up. (I captured the relevant portion of the screen w/ prnt scrn) This could be due to a scratched disc but there aren't noticable scratches. Here are my settings: (all MINIMUM speeds were used in copying and recording)

SCPH-39001 console
Pioneer DVR-AO6U
Stomp RecordNow Max
Verbatim DVD-R media
*Magic Swap 2.0 w/ slide card (dont tell me it doesn't work, I have used it to play a few different games so far)

Also another question is, can i use Phillips DVD+R media to play backups on my version of PS2(i think is 3 since its a scph-39001), also can you use DVD +/- RW's to burn games, and in my system config in the ps2, should i choose fast or standard for disc speed, and smooth or standard for texture mapping? any help would be appreciated in resolving my questions. If possible please email me at "[email protected]" with any correspondance.
