Xbox or Ps2 do not need to be modded to play backup dvds. Although Region coding is a different story. I know a NTSC Ps2 will not play a PAL region 0 movie. But it will play a NTSC region 0 movie.
I will never pay good money to buy the Xbox Dvd Playback kit especially since it should have came preinstalled. So I cant test my Xbox. Tyler!
