I'm thinking about getting an X-ecuter 2.2 Lite Plus [+] modchip.

I'm new to X-box modding and haven't used or installed a modchip since the original Playstation.

I have a few questions.

Is it a simple process to back up your games on DVD and can a person just install a large harddrive to the X-box and copy your games to that? I've lost too many $50 DVD video game purchases to a hardwood floor....

Is the modchip I'm thinking of buying the best one available and where is the best place to get it?

Will the bios that comes preflashed on that modchip work with backedup games and games backed up on a new harddrive or do I need to reflash it somehow?

DVD+R or -R, does it matter?
