Thanks m8. Yes i do have to swap the disks over to be able to play my (backups) which is a lot of hassle, i have not long since had my PS2 so still don't really know a lot about all the different mod chips etc but will certainly look into them now. Thanks for the links unfortunately i was unable to find a protection patch for Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets but will keep searching the net.
