OK NOVICE ALERT!

so I have 'obtained' a couple of games in .bin form, burned them to CD with CDRWin, run the install programmes and all seemed fine until I came to the 'Play/Run' part where it asks for CD1, which is in the drive, but fails recognise it and therefore won't run the programme....

What am I doing wrong, if anything?

And where does one obtain the 'patches' to allow the game to run CD free (which I guess from reading postings is what happens)

Anyone who can enlighten me would be most welcome!!!!
