World Series-Selfboot

I made world series baseball self-booting, using autoselfboot. When trying to play it the first batter disappears and then the game locks up. This does not happen on non-bootable version. Have tried several times, with same results. Have used auto self boot with other games and have had no problems. There is a dummy file on the game, wondering if this has something to do with it. Anybody have any ideas or have similiar problems?
