i have win2k, WHY WOULD I BE USING FAT32?!

Anyhow, you missed the mark by a small margin but i figured it out.

someone suggested i defrag so i tried that, but i had tried it once before and the windows defragger would always stop on me. So i downloaded another one called o&o defrag, wich would do the same damn thing=ripoff.

Anyhow, i set out to get a diff one, one called Raxco Perfectdisk. It was just the trial version but it worked fine. When i did the analye disk, it showed some of the major fragmented files, and i noticed there were ALOT in this folder called recylcer/nprotect. I didnt have Norton Systemworks installed so i was kind of wiereded out. I figured to just start the defrag. it was doing much better than the last one, but once it got to 37% i stopped it, because i wanted to see those files again. Sure enough there was a 4.7GB iso in there (amongst other things). But i couldnt find the folder, it was completely invisible.

So i typed its path in the explorer to get to it and deleted all the conents (couldnt delete the folder though since that's the only way i could access it), and that fixed it. Apparently norton antivirus also has a trash can protect program, and it was enabled, so i disabled it after i deleted everything.

and now i have a defrag program that works.
