Same problem here.I was using nocd on v1.4 with no probs.
Incremental patch refused to install so I got the full 107mb form official site. Totally uninstalled game including all directories and folders. Reinstalled game. Reinstalled Road to Rome. Patched to 1.45 with official patch ok. Manually copied all mod.dll's,bf1942.exe,bf1942.org &gamespy dll into correct folders.Left out exp2 as obviously I don't have yet. Game now crashes to desktop on starting,never mind online. I have a genuine retail cd key which I played online with on 1.4 with never a problem. What am I doing wrong guys?
