My crashes were of the more severe kind (complete system crash and reboot). Anyways after much trial and error I fixed my problem by turning off the shadow, light and reflection effects in the games options. I managed to play the game for a good 5+ hours today with no crashes whatsoever
 Try doing the same, it might fix those problems that you are having... The more I play this game, the more I love it...
