If they have a blue dye at the bottom they should be fine. Maxell aren't very good for PS2 at all...
If this fails, It looks like your Neo chip doesn't like it - so it's a new mod... P.S.: Ottoman's right. I use the Verbatim DataLifePlus discs and they are THE best!
