I tried the BOX version Gothic 2 and some copy from it
with fixed exe/nocds different PCs (on 7 PCs).
On DVD combos/new DVD-reader or really new CD-rom
reader (or reader+writer) the BOX version also out the
message "COPY PROTECTION ERROR" when start fight.
So BUT HOW CAN YOU WORKING/FIX this problem
(ANY of this hints you can PLAY ALL the hardware
combinations, we have sure: ATI 3D card on AMD or P4
processor with 256/512 Megs RAM. WE NOT TESTED it
on 128 Megs PC ! I guess 256 Megs RAM recom- mended for the game???):

1. DELETE the file VDFS.DMP from the game ROOT dir,
and see WHOLE registry with your GOTHIC 2 path
and reg-part (DO NOT NEED TO RE-INSTALL the game). We uses next the DRUNKEN and FBSA cracked exe and crack files also for the COPY/of our ORIGINAL BOX version of the game. WORKS PERFECTLY!

2. DO NOT USE YOUR badly runned game SAVES (or
maybe from SAVES from other PCs) !!!! IT WILL
always out the COPY PROT message.

3. YOU do not need ANY REGISTRY part of the game
(works without it).
