That's WHY it won't play.
"Standard AVI" is a misnomer. AVI is just a file format, the actual data is compressed (or not compressed) based on a codec. PS2Reality plays a limited number of codecs, including DIVX and XVID. It probably can't play i263, or Indeo5, or any of a dozen other really common AVI codecs. - Gurm
