If by mod you mean modchip, then I already have one in my psx. I wrote the cd and this is what happened when I tried it:
The ps booted up and after the initial logo screen, the screen went mostly black with another copy of the initial logo (the triangles) distorted on screen. The triangle on the left side appeared smaller, and kind of transparent, but the one on the right side disappeared. This is why I figured that I probably needed a patch. Any help would be appreciated.
