BF1942 V1.4 (ctp)

When I start BF1942 everything is fine for about 2-3 seconds upon entering the main logon screen then I get dumped to the desktop. Any ideas anyone? (I'll post specs it this isnt an easy fix)

And yes im using a crack to start the game, the gimpsRus crack.
