Yes ive tried doing that
 But they only work if i cut the power off first before i load up another game, maybe is reseting the chip or something when you cut the power?  It also doesnt work when you turn the power switch off on the console, on mine it will only play a new playstation game after you have cut the power at the socket   I know that my Chip is a proper M2 so i dont know what could be the problem
