*The Greatest Game Of All Time!*

I have never really seen a thread dedicated to listing the best game of all time and for what reasons, so heres one to get started:

The best game of all time that has ever graced the store shelves (and most likely the pages of many warez sites) would have to be Age of Empires 2: The Age of Kings & Conquerors.

Reason: Still to this day no game has come out with simplistic game play yet complex strategism (is that even a word!?) A game that has so many upgrades, units and civilizations to keep you busy for months, so much so in fact that i got the game in 2000 and i still play it, for 2 years straight i played this game online on the zone.com and it was worth it, it never got me bored.

The best civ in the game had to be the Britons with their Longbows. But the most advanced civ had to be the Teutons, with their seige upgrades as well as full Palidin armour.

This game beats both first person shooters (easily) and any other strategy game you put up to it, and still, to this day remains that way.

It would be intertesting if anyone else can name a game better than this....remembering that this game sold big time (although it didnt break the record).
