Update on the issue with the backup of TR:AOD. As I said in my last post, I have a v5/6 PS2 with an R-mod (no-solder modchip), and use the Gameshark 2 for the swapping function. For ALL of the backups that I have, the "normal" procedure is to select "Without codes" as part of the Gameshark 2 "swapping procedure", however, this was NOT working for TR:AOD. So, as an experiment, I decided to select "With codes", and VOILA! it worked without ANY issues! I have confirmed this to work with ********************** and a backup of the original title. FYI: ***************** and the backup of the original title were burned with Nero and the Philips DVDRW228 burner (DVD+R/+RW) at MAX speed using Fujifilm DVD+R media. And, I did NOT have to use CDLOADER for anything. I hope this helps those that have similar issues and a similar setup.
It looks like gameshark/action replay users need to create a new code consisting of all 0's (zeros), then choose to play game with codes.
