Lightbulb How to unpack files of MGS2 Substance?

In order to make a cdbackup of my MGS2 DVD to CD's i want to strip the game some by removing 32 bit textures, sounds or movies. How can you figure out what program they used to pack the archives? The installation places a pac directory on harddisk with many .pac files in it. I want to know what's in it! Dragonunpacker 5 couldn't do the job, although it says to have support for .pac archives. And how to edit the .DAT files? Also, to save some space to backup this game would be to strip and split the vrmissions and all other extras like snaketales from the game so finally the would be 2 or 3 GIGs left of the almost 8 GB that installed to HDisk. DE data left can packed be stored onto 3 cd's then. Better then the 5 or 6 cd options that are going around now. Besides it would be a fun job to compress this game since its so big actually. Anyone got a suggestion to this Thread???

greets Ewoud.
