No Self-Boots For Me, What Can I Do? (please read experts)

aight... so my Open New Session is greyed out in CDRwin...

Is there anything I can do to change this? (update firmware, buy a new cd-r/rw drive)

please help...

also... is there any files out there that will change the ISO file made with CDIRip to 11702 instead of 11700 so I can use cdrecord? (what i'm mainly looking for)
