Hi,
right I've looked at a few sites and I just wanna find out some more before I think about doing anything. I know you probably get asked these questions alot so feel free to flame - I don't care ![]() 1: How hard it chipping a x-box? I assume it's just soldering in a new chip. Would you have to install extra software to run backups? What is the best chip out there? 2: I have heared that the x-box can be unstable, how dose chipping affect this? Are there things I would need to install to help issues? 3: With the games that will fit on a CD can a, cheaper, CD be used? 4: Will a chipped x-box have any problems with connecting to other x-boxes? 5: I have read somewhere that you can update the media player or something, dose this mean I could put a DivX file on a CD and then play it on a X-box? 6: I have also noticed talk of emulators for different systems avalable. Which systems are avalable? How do you go about runing the ROMs? 7: Backing up games ..... I have read that you connect your x-box via a normal Lan lead and put the whole DVD across. Is there a way to read straight from the DVD? 8: If I connect the box up to a vid and then a TV (I have only one scart socket and it is normaly ocupied by sky) will I have the same problem as the PS2 with the copywrite protection? 9: UK suppliers of chips. links please 10: I read that they were trying to get Linux on a x-box did they succed? Thanks in advance. -How. |
