ihaveanosebleed is on a distinguished road
The old digital Performance brand controllers draw too much power and blow little surface mount
microfuses on the PSX motherboard. It's an easy fix for any soldermonkey that can use a multi-
tester. I fixed a few PSX with this problem and modified a Controller to draw less power by
adding resistors to the power wire.

I would think they fixed the problem by now. I have a cheap Interact PS2 Shock analog controller
and it has not blown my PSX yet.

The best chips are the Multi mode 3 chips, when soldered in 7 wire mode, I have not found an
antimod yet that could detect this chip. If you are in North America you can get one very
cheap. email @ jprcus (at) yahoo (dot) com.

Sorry, I can't help you about Mac soft!
