GOD the last time I had to solder direct to the CD/DVD controller I had to wick up all the solder and redo it like 5 times. BLEH!
The BIOS is easy to solder to, just use a fine tip and be careful. If you don't have a steady enough hand... err... don't do MODding yourself.  - Gurm
