it says scph 39001 ser. u649576 date code 2c.
i've never cleaned my laser. many games work flawlessly, so i would not suspect a dirty laser. games that wont work: dues ex, rygar, ffx, hitman, max payne, silent hill 2 (which causes problems on all systems i think). games that freeze: summoner2, cookies and cream, ephemeral fantasia.
