Making No-CD exe's

Wuz up? I have been making backups og my game cds for some time now <years>. With out really knowing how to do it <lucky I guess>. I got some good tips aty the start from gcw. I have been using a combination of clone CD 4.2.0.2 and clonyxxl to burn all my CD's. About 1 year ago they stopped burning perfectly and I have been getting the no-cd fixed exe's for my games. At first I thought It was because a new form of copy protection was invented and now the cd-check was located in the exe installed by the CD IE: my copy protection progies werent working correctly. but Now I'm not sure if its that or my burner just cant read/write RAW DAO & Sub-Channel Data. I have no clue. How do I check? Also, this post is mainly about making a no-cd exe. I have recently DLed ProtectionID by CDkiller hearing that it was better than clonyxxl. I am trying the game Vietcong. when I run the protectionID on the exe I get a code 4.84.69.0078 ?? wtf is this? When I run it on the game.dll file it says "Protected with CDchecks, I found this string: -Please Insert- , Load the exe into Win32Dasm and do a search on that string and patch the jump before it." Now.... I get the Idea of a "jump" but what is the actual comand? Win32Dasm<english> I cant find it anywhere?
Does anyone have a link to any FAQ's about making your own no-cd's that is updated? Thx for reading my bull**** and thanx for any response. - Madnezz "Arenas Of Death"
