Do you have problems burning DVD's with other software?
It seems that you are doing things correctly, I'm at a loss why your burns should fail. It could be the way your writer is configured. Should be DMA enabled if I remember correctly. I've read on other forums about burn problems, try setting you DVD writer as the master drive.
